The Voyage Collection

Four English-language youth novels
To be published in 2017
The Voyage Collection written by Janine Tougas follows the adventures of four youth from St. Rita, a Metis community in Manitoba. These young protagonists journey in discovery of their inner and outer geography and history.

In fun and practical ways, La Collection Voyage underlines the value of their Metis heritage integrated like a shining thread in the tapestry of modern life.

The novels Mélina et la chasse aux bisonsGabriel entre chien et loup, Henri et le cheval noir, Sylvianne aux couleurs du corbeau allow readers to question themselves on their own origins, identity, interests and in which way they can transform themselves and change the world.

"I consider that the books in The Voyage Collection are inspiring and will be supportive to many young people and adults in search of a deeper sense of connection to themselves and to their roots. These books have an impact on both the journey of the inner and the outer for the reader. Simply put 'they inspire possibility thinking'."
Richard W. Puteran, Child & Family counselor, Brandon
